Teaches: CALCULUS, INTRODUCTION TO ALGEBRA, ALGEBRA IITeaching has always been an important part of Nicola's world. In high school, she was already teaching violin and viola to younger students. After completing a B.S. in Engineering and Applied Sciences at Yale, she taught Computer Science and P.E. at the Charles Armstrong School before taking a job as a research engineer at SRI International.Nicola has a special interest in teaching twice-exceptional students - those with both learning differences and areas of giftedness. She has taken all of David Berg's Making Math Real courses and incorporates those methods and strategies in her teaching.Nicola loves foreign languages and cultures. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to live in Vienna, Tokyo, and Paris before returning to her Bay Area roots. She spends as much time as possible playing chamber music, gardening, and enjoying her extended family and dogs.
